Commercial Work, Booked Around Your Trading Hours
Alongside the domestic work I take on commercial jobs across the Wirral: office carpets and carpet tiles, shop floors, communal areas in blocks and converted houses, office seating, and the turnaround cleans landlords and letting agents need between tenancies. It is the same truckmount equipment and the same person doing the work, the difference is the scheduling.
T-Nutrition use me for the carpets across two of their retail stores. That is the clearest proof I can offer that the work holds up in a trading environment, where a floor takes hundreds of feet a day and has to be usable again before the doors open.
Commercial clients buy three things from a cleaner: a floor that looks right to customers, no lost trading time, and someone who turns up when they said they would. I quote against those three, not against a page of specifications nobody reads.
Because the van carries its own water and power, out-of-hours access is straightforward even in buildings where the services are shut down at night. I do not need your cleaner's cupboard, your tap or your sockets.
Offices
Carpet tiles, traffic lanes, meeting rooms, reception areas and fabric office chairs.
Shops and retail
Floor coverings cleaned outside trading hours so you lose no selling time.
Landlords and agents
End-of-tenancy carpets and upholstery, turned round between lets.
Blocks and communal areas
Stair carpets, hallways and entrance matting in flats and converted properties.
What Tired Premises Quietly Cost You
Customers and tenants read the floor before they read the sign above the door.
First impressions undo the fit-out
A marked entrance carpet is the first thing a customer sees and the last thing anyone budgets for. It reads as a business that has stopped paying attention, which is not the impression you paid a shopfitter for.
Replacement cycles shorten
Commercial carpet is built to take traffic, but not to take grit indefinitely. Left uncleaned it abrades from the base and wears out years earlier than it should, replacement is the single most expensive way to solve a cleaning problem.
Void periods stretch
A rental that shows badly sits empty longer. A day's carpet and upholstery cleaning between tenancies is cheap against a fortnight of lost rent, and it removes the obvious deposit argument at check-out.
Complaints and claims
Stained communal carpets and grubby seating generate tenant complaints, and in food or health settings they raise questions you do not want raised during an inspection.
How it works
Start To Finish
- One accountable person. You deal with Paul directly. No account manager, no rotating crews, no explaining the site twice.
- Worked around trading. The clean fits your hours rather than costing you a closed day or a roped-off shop floor.
- Multi-service from one contact. Carpets, upholstery, windows, gutters, fascias and pressure washing all booked through the same number.
- Insured for commercial premises. £5m public liability cover on every job, evidence available before I start.
- Proven in retail. T-Nutrition use me for the carpets in two of their stores, a live retail floor, not a quiet office.
- 01
1. Site visit and quote
I come and look at the floor area, the access, the fibre and the parking, and we agree when the work can realistically happen. No charge for the visit.
- 02
2. Scheduled around you
Evenings, early mornings, Sundays or your quiet trading day, whatever keeps the tills open and the staff working.
- 03
3. Prepared and protected
Furniture moved where it can be moved safely, edges and thresholds protected, and cables run so nothing is a trip hazard to your staff.
- 04
4. Cleaned
Truckmount hot water extraction matched to commercial fibres and carpet tiles, with heavier pre-treatment on entrance matting and traffic lanes.
- 05
5. Back in use fast
Carpets typically dry in two to three hours, so you open as normal the next morning rather than roping off half the floor.
- 06
6. Invoiced
Card, cash or bank transfer, whichever suits your bookkeeping. One contact, one invoice, no account management layer.
How Commercial Jobs Are Set Up on the Wirral
The cleaning is the straightforward part. Access, timing and drying are what decide whether a commercial job actually works.
Access and hours
Most commercial work here happens before opening or after closing. The van is self-contained for water and power, which makes out-of-hours access far simpler in buildings where the water and electrics are isolated overnight.
If you need me escorted, signed in, or working to a fixed window because of an alarm set time, say so at the quote. It changes nothing about the price, it just needs to be planned rather than discovered at eight in the evening.
Carpet tiles and commercial fibres
Contract carpet and carpet tiles are usually a tight low-pile construction designed to hide soil rather than resist it. They respond well to hot water extraction because the soil sits in a shallow band near the surface and comes out cleanly once it has been pre-treated and agitated.
Loose or lifting tiles get flagged rather than flooded. Where a tile has failed at the adhesive, I work around it and tell you, because the cleaning is not what caused it and heavy extraction will not help it.
End of tenancy and landlord work
For landlords and agents the driver is the check-out date. Carpets and upholstery cleaned and dry the same day means the property can be photographed, checked and re-let without losing a week to drying time.
This is routinely booked at short notice on properties across Wallasey, Birkenhead and Bebington, often the day after the keys come back. Tell me the check-out date when you call and I will work backwards from it.
Offices, seating and soft furnishings
Office chairs take body oils, food and years of use, and they are almost never cleaned. They come up dramatically and cost far less per chair than replacing them, which is usually the first quote a facilities manager gets.
Meeting room chairs, reception sofas and breakout seating are all priced by item in the same way as domestic upholstery, so you can budget a whole floor without a survey.
Exterior work for commercial premises
The exterior services apply to business premises too: pressure washing to forecourts, service yards, bin areas and entrance paving; gutter clearance on units and shops; fascia and soffit washing; and one-off window cleaning.
Exterior commercial work is always quoted after a free site visit, because access, height and drainage vary far more on a business unit than on a house.
Questions
Common Questions
- Do you work outside opening hours?
- Yes: evenings, early mornings, Sundays and quiet trading days are normal for commercial jobs. It is usually the first thing we agree at the quote.
- How quickly can we use the floor again?
- Carpets are typically dry in two to three hours, and upholstery in four to five, so most premises are back to normal the same evening or by opening the next day.
- Do you take on landlords and letting agents?
- Yes, including end-of-tenancy carpets and upholstery between lets. Give me the check-out date and I will work back from it.
- Can you invoice us?
- Yes. Payment by card, cash or bank transfer, whichever suits your bookkeeping.
- Have you done retail before?
- T-Nutrition use me for the carpets in two of their retail stores, cleaned around their trading hours.
- Are you insured to work on commercial premises?
- Yes: £5m public liability cover, and I can provide evidence of it before the work starts.
- Do you clean office chairs as well as carpets?
- Yes. Office and meeting room seating is cleaned with the same truckmount system, priced by item, and it is a fraction of the cost of replacing chairs.
- Can you clean carpet tiles?
- Yes. Carpet tiles respond well to hot water extraction. Any tiles that have already lifted at the adhesive get flagged rather than saturated.
- Do you cover the whole of the Wirral for commercial work?
- Yes: Wallasey, Birkenhead, Bebington, Heswall, Hoylake, West Kirby, Bromborough, Moreton and the surrounding areas.
- Do you need our water and electricity?
- No. The van carries its own water and power, which makes out-of-hours access much simpler.
